Taylors Finish Line fundraiser for Make a Wish and The Levine Childrens Hospital
May 23rd is a Sunday and the Gibbs family is celebrating Taylors finishing treatment for cancer!!! They are holding a fundraiser for the Make A wish and Levine Childrens Hospital. The RE/MAX balloon is going to be there (weather permitting ) with teathered rides. There will be games and music and food, too. Come support a good cause and help celebrate with me and my RE/MAX Executive Realty (Lake Norman offfice) associates.
It will be Sunday May 23rd in the afternoon at The Charlotte Speedway Z Max track from 3pm to 8 pm http://finishlinefestival.com/
The Queens Cup is April 24th
The 15th annual Queens Cup Steeplechase will be held the last Saturday in April, this year it is the 24th. For more information follow this link. http://www.queenscup.org/events.html. It is always fun time, there is extensive picnicking and the some fancy hats!! Oh and of course beautiful horses.
Spring has sprung in the Lake Norman area, fun things to do around the LKN area
Spring is here and the 17th annual Loch Norman Games will be held in Huntersville at Rural Hill for more information go to http://www.ruralhillscottishfestivals.net Learn about Scot history and watch some interesting and unique sports.
Another annual event is the Race City Festival. It is Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m in downtown Mooresville. Free admission. Enjoy arts, crafts, sidewalk sales, live music, games and food vendors.
Classical radio WDAV pledge drive
My favorite charities are The Susan Komen Foundation for breast cancer, the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, The Childrens Miricle Network and WDAV. I like classical music. I like other kinds also. I hope you can help WDAV this year. If you call very early in the morning you may even get to speak to me!
